Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 30, 2026

Filesloom ("us", "we", or "our") is operated by BestFab Software Limited, the data controller for the purposes of this Privacy Policy. We operate the https://filesloom.com website and the Video Cloud service (the "Service"), providing browser-based video compression and format conversion.

This page explains what information we collect when you use the Service, how we use it, how we store it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Our core privacy commitments: video files you upload are processed solely to deliver the service you requested, are automatically deleted within 24 hours of task completion, and are never used to train AI models — yours or anyone else's.

Data We Collect

We collect different categories of data, each for a specific purpose. We collect only what is necessary to operate the Service.

Account & contact details, such as the email address you use at checkout, your billing name and country, and any messages you send to support.

Account credentials & license keys, such as the JWT token issued after a successful purchase that authenticates your lifetime plan.

Video files you upload, processed only for compression or conversion you initiated.

Payment information, processed by our payment partner Stripe — we never see or store your full card number.

Communications, such as the questions or information you send to customer support.

Diagnostic data, such as the file format, duration and parameters of your processing tasks (without the content itself), used to improve the Service.

Usage Data

We may also collect information about how the Service is accessed and used ("Usage Data"). This may include your computer's IP address, browser type and version, the pages of our Service you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, and other diagnostic data.

Tracking & Cookies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track activity on our Service and remember certain information.

Cookies are small files placed on your device. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of the Service (for example, staying signed in to your account).

Examples of cookies we use:

Session cookies to keep you logged in during a session.

Preference cookies to remember your language and UI preferences.

Security cookies for security purposes such as fraud prevention.

Video Files & Retention

Filesloom processes video files only to deliver the service you requested. Source files and output files are automatically deleted within 24 hours of task completion (or sooner if you delete them manually). Failed or incomplete tasks are deleted within the same window.

Your video content is never used to train AI or machine-learning models. Our compression and conversion engines run pre-trained inference only.

Files are encrypted in transit (TLS) between your browser and our servers, and at rest while temporarily stored on our processing infrastructure.

These third parties have access to limited Personal Data only to perform tasks on our behalf and are bound by confidentiality.
